5 amps max is designed to run simple electronics as mentioned above. Note this Transformer provides I used one myself for a 2 way, and used a second one attached to an adapter to charge my cell phone.

Simply attach the red wire to your 24vdc supply, attach both black wires to ground, and the yellow wire is 12vdc in to your radio etc. Need to quickly add a 12v am FM or two way radio, phone charger or some led lighting to your 24v equipment this step down Transformer mounts anywhere in your vehicle that there is a 24v circuit handy.
